Aaron Alviso Stephenson is a writer-director with experience across commercial, branded, and narrative filmmaking since 2005.

He recently developed, wrote, and directed LOIS, a $1.5M narrative branded film for Filevine starring Sarah Rafferty.

His work is driven by character, atmosphere, and the tension between what people believe and what may actually be true. Across horror, crime, science fiction, and the Western, his stories explore people confronting the beliefs, identities, and inherited systems that have shaped them, often at the moment those beliefs stop explaining reality.

He is currently developing a slate of feature films including MOTHERS, a psychological horror film about family and inherited faith; RESONANCE, a psychological crime mystery about memory and the stories we tell ourselves; METANOIA, a postwar thriller about faith, reason, and regret; and LITTLE BIG HORN, a contemporary Western about fathers and sons, vengeance, and the myths we inherit.

Beyond film, Aaron is writing his debut novel, a science-fiction epic fantasy, The Solar Blade Saga, and collaborating with artist Artee Duran on the graphic novel The Emerald Art, an opportunity to explore visual storytelling through an entirely different medium.

Aaron earned his MFA in Film Production from ArtCenter College of Design.
